Main Level
Main level offers an open, bright floorplan comprising eight rooms plus an outdoor sundeck and grilling area. There are three bedrooms, two full baths, living room, kitchen, dining room, screened in and covered mahogany porch.
Custom design cabinets in the kitchen match the in-set storage coat and boot area in the entranceway. And carry into the living room with floor to ceiling built in cabinets on each side of the gas fireplace. And a half wall high bookcase running along the north wall of the living room.
The wall between the entranceway and dining room was opened up. As was the wall and door dividing the kitchen from the dining room. And a transim was added. The kitchen was reconfigured as a galley style kitchen and an entranceway was opened between the living room and the dining room.
The living room is the focal point of the hosting area with circlular walk from the screened porch and the dining room and living room areas.
Loft Office
We insulated the entireity of the house's envelope with spray foam insulation. And supplemented with accoustic and thermal insulation throughout the house.
Electrical wiring and plumbing piping were replaced. And while doing so were run to the loft space which was converted into a 900 square foot office space. Windows were replaced with 5 foot-wide double casement windows on each side of the house. And the housing around the stairwell was rebuilt with glass above the chair railing.
Recessed built in bookcases were put into the kneewall throughout the space. And all other space behind the kneewall is accessable by doors installed to use the areas for excess storage.
The original knotty pine floors from the 1950's were refinished.
Guest Suite
The ground level floor was never completed. It includes a utility and mechanical room. But provided a great area to complete a luxury guest suite.
The suite boasts over 1,200 square feet of living space, two bedrooms, a full bath, an in-unit washer and dryer. And a top of the line stainless steel kitchen utlity set.
The guest suite has one traditional sized room with a queen bed set. The second bedroom is elongaged in a manner to serve as a study and supplemental guest sleeping area.
The suite allows three car parking in the parking garage (entirely seperate from the two car parking located on the main level. It has a seperate entranceway and is fully automous from the main level living quarters.
Truly ideal set up for guests, au pairs or generating supplemental rental income.
